    Default The Boss at 60

    Hi guys,

It will doubtlessly pale into relative insignificance on the SKMB when juxtaposed with SK's 62nd birthday, but this Wednesday, September 23rd, sees rock legend Bruce Springsteen hit the big 60.

Hard to think that the author of such awe-inspiring anthems as Born To Run and Born In The USA is preparing to take his place as a Senior Citizen, but judging by his recent output, he remains almost as relevant today as he did in the 1970s and 1980s.

Bruce himself, in "Glory Days", sang the lines "I hope when I get old I don't sit around thinking about it, but I probably will..." But luckily for us, he hasn't, and he continues to bring pleasure to many of us with his recordings and live performances.

Just how long can SK continue to write novels, and BS continue to record new albums? For all of our sakes, I hope that it's a long time!

Well I saw Bruce Springsteen live last year and he had more energy than ever, and he's still sliding across the stage on his knees like a kid at a wedding.

Mr King's mind seems as active as ever with fresh ideas, he's always writing, and so I think he'll carry on for years to come. The very fact that he actually got round to writing (and finishing) a project he had attempted twice before in his younger days is a great sign that he is still at the top of his game.

I think 60s is the new 40s so........we have two young prolific and long lasting artists here with a lot of miles still to run.

Bruce still rocks, and he always will.

    Just like Uncle Steve.
