Today, my copy of The Stand came in the mail and I am excited because I enjoy his style and his stories. So, who knows. This might be a interested read for me.....time will have a way of showing me that!

Hi! I am on pege 400. Ahh much more to go, but very good reading!
I hope you become swept away as I am!
Thanks.....I am familar with his style. Meaning that I have read 4/7 of the dark tower books. However, those books were not just horror. They had a mix of elements from several genres--fantasy, Sci-Fi, and western. So this will be my first novel that is not mixed with any other genre (well, I think so). I am aspiring writer....so I want to get a grips on a writer who writes well, and I heard that King is pharmenal at what he does. My hats goes off to him.
I found a rare hardcover copy in my lil book store I frequent for all my hard to find SK books. They had $50.00 on it, looked as though it had not even been read. It had a mostly white cover and included some sketches inside. Does anyone know if this is legit, is it worth that? I don't have that kind of money for a book anyway, but my birthday is coming up! I am sure I will love the book, haven't read it yet.
I can't find any paperbacks right now. Went one time and there were several, was that way this time with Dreamcatcher and a couple of others. But I didn't pick it up at that time, because I was really looking for all the Dark Tower books.
I am reading The Stand as well. On pg. 493. Its a good one!
I heard that before. It is my predilection to say that. I think there are western traits in as well.
I doubt it if there's a chance you'll be disappointed by this epic novel. It is definitely at my top 3 list.
I probably won't be disappointment by it. In fact, there might a bonhomie after i read it.
