Something Fran Said (I can't find it now lol)

Hey all

I was in an argument with a friend of mine while watching 'The Colony' (which if you're into post-apocalyptic reality show is freaking awesome).

I remember at some point Fran was musing about her pregnancy and thinking about why it was the Wild West and men did all the stuff -- because women are smaller and needed protecting and whatnot. That the flu basically made everything like the wild west and that she'd need protecting the further along she got in the pregnancy.

I haven't read the Stand in years, and am totally unable to find this passage.

Can anyone help?

Thank you Bluey Lunger, was going nuts last nite knowing in what point of the book i should find it, still couldn t !
well in my Uk edition is at page 652 or maybe it is there cos is the uncut edition, i don t know , but for those who cannot find it at p 515, try p 652 .
Chapter 46 starts at p649.
