Cujo has a claustraphobia, that really towards the end, becomes for me almost unbearable. Has Tad deteriorates, I get a powerful urge to scream for help.So far I have managed to control myself .

Hi,
Aye, Cujo certainly builds tension all right, but I was sooo disappointed in the change of ending for the movie, blew it completely IMO.
Long days and pleasant nights
I do agree , the ending of the movie certainly was disappointing, I went right back and reread the book. Keep on shining !![]()
I had seen a small part of the movie and was enthusiastically unimpressed. That's why it took so long for me to get around to reading Cujo (I've since seen the whole movie and think it is the worst adaptation - along with Firestarter - of a King novel I've ever seen). When I did read the book (only last year), I was ecstatically surprised. I LOVED this book. In fact I love the book in direct proportion to how much I abhor the movie. It amazes me how King can stage an entire (or nearly) story in one 'space' (not sure I said that properly). Another wonderful example is Gerald's Game. Brilliant story telling.
Darlin', if you feel the uncontrollable urge to screaming - go right at it. You are, after all, in the right place...
