The original movie is one example of good cast, and good effort. The sequel no go! The book is still better.

I liked the original movie much more than the TV movie, sequel, and even the book.

Book is by far the best. The movie should be redone I think as todays special effects and stuff would make it much better than it was although it did creep me out at one time especially the insane mother lol!

I guess I'm the weirdo around here; I kinda like all of them to one extent or another.

The original movie is good, especially tonally ... but I really hate Piper Laurie as Carrie's mother.

The tv remake is underrated, in my opinion. I know the massive changes to the novel are hard to get around, but I don't really mind them too much. Patricia Clarkson is great as Carrie's mom.

The "sequel" is basically just a ripoff, but as far as ripoffs go, it's relatively enjoyable on a b-movie level. Emily Bergl is really good playing this movie's version of Carrie (can't remember her actual name), and I thought there was at least one good scare.

None of 'em touch the novel, though; it's still one of my favorites. I'd love to see a really high-quality remake at some point, and as remake-happy as Hollywood seems to currently be, I'd bet one ain't too far off.
