Miss Mod
I know it's pretty early in the game since the news just hit yestreday, (and that there already were (if memory serves) 5 story arcs in place) but this "Disney buys Marvel Comics" news shouldn't affect any future installments of that series, should it?
I mean they are well aware of any better selling comics in the pipeline, and I should think anything with King's name attached is selling better than some of the less popular superhero pulp. Since money is the bottom line in all businesses, I would think (hope) that the Dark Tower series (and all possible future new story arcs), being as successful as it is, will remain able to continue.
I for one am glad since, in theory, the price of comics SHOULD finally come down a notch or two now that Marvel has the multiple resources of Disney backing them up. This is good for everyone involved since maybe more people will return to comics and the bottom line will grow.
Heck, maybe more comicbook stores will open up now. (Or, just as good--- maybe WalMart will start make room in all their stores for a few feet of comicbook space? On a limited and smartly marketed scale of course--after all, can't have a dozen geekers hanging around blocking the aisles reading Spider-Man right?)
Be interesting to see what everyone else thinks about this
Oh-Miss Mod---if someone else started a thread and it was after hours, you can feel free to drop this into THAT thread if you wish thanks
