Lisey's story stimulated many emotions, I was captivated by the way SK incorporated ideas that must have gone through both his and Tabathas minds, when he had his accident.Lovely story and frightening too.

I enjoyed Lisey a great deal as well. Very good read.
Hi,
Yes indeed, after reading Lisey for the first time, it became my favourite novel of Sai King's (DT is my favourite WORK!), finally supplanting The Stand after many years.
Although I've always wondered how younger readers react to it, but having personally experienced bereavement following a long-term relationship, I can assure you that Lisey is spot on the money and articulated many feelings I couldn't express for myself, and was amazingly cathartic, in fact I'd go so far as to say that without having read Lisey I wouldn't be here today.
Long days and pleasant nights
Finished it last night - incredible read. I've never shed a tear while reading but I wasn't far off at the end of this one.
I likes the relationship part of the story - the way a man and a woman can share their life and love and fear and need each other and the way their secrets touch and affect them.
I thought Mr King encapsulated the relationship between Scott and Lisey perfectly... I challenge anybody to read it and not fall in love with Scott just a little bit!
I actually avoided buying this book for ages, as I just didn't think I'd like it....as a 'younger person' who has not had much experience of bereavement, I thought I might have had trouble connecting with Lisey, a middle-aged widower. How wrong I was! Very few books have made me cry, but this was one of them.
It is definately one of my favourite books and I have read it time and time again.
I loved Liseys story, too. It was the first time SK presented a proper picture of marriage or any long term relationship. I also loved the way they knew each other so well. The love and trust between them was so strong. I actually cried at the end, something that has never happened for one of SKs really good ones. However I don't think I will ever see The Last Picture Show quite the same way!
I too, thoroughly enjoyed this book. I thought it was interesting that even after his death, Scott was still trying to reach Lisey from the other side to help save her sister. I have always been interested in the paranormal and this is definitely a new look on it.
I just finished it this morning and I must say that I had an intense sense of deja vu during certain interactions between Lisey and Scott. It gave me goosebumps.
