I loved this book. One of those that you can't put down. Glad to hear they are doing a miniseries or movie!!! Can't wait. Thanks for letting me know
I think its hard sometimes when a favorite character dies. I am a big fan of Lonesome Dove, and when Gus dies....well it truly is heartbreaking. He was the loveable character flaws and all, unlike Woodrow. He was the glue that held the story together. But the movie was just as good as the book.great a miniseries about a novel with some telekenetic zombies where the only character I cared about dies .....lame book so its probably going to be a lame miniseries
So I can deal with a little death here and there, sometimes its just a blesing to know the characters in the first place even for a little while. Much like how it is in real life. Breaks your heart to see them go, but what if you never new them in the first place?

This made me laugh, 'cuz I completely agree with the first half of your comment. I didn't like the idea of telekenetik zombies, and my favorite character was also the one who died. *Smacks forehead* Fortunately, I don't think the book was lame -- I thought it was quite decent -- but I could see where you're coming from.
I would much, much rather see Bag of Bones movie-ized.
I see from responses that Cell has been made into a miniseries, but I'm not in a rush to catch it. It was a terrific book (with the exception of not explaining what began the bloody Pulse to begin with), but I believe it would just become another zombie movie. Nothing special about it.
Myself, I like the King miniseries I have watched (DVR it and scoot through the advertisements)...I believe it gives a lot more attention to details that a two-, three-hour movie would not have the time to address.
Hi
this Abe
i think is a good scary story
might be good also a movie![]()
It's so funny I found this thread! I came looking to discuss this... I just saw (another) trailer for the remake of 'The Crazies', and every time I see a trailer for that, it's been making me wish for a movie based on Cell. I'll take it however I can get it, whether a movie or mini-series! Yay! ~Adds a match to Countrygirl's fire~
p.s. No worries non-HBO subscribers, all of HBO's stuff eventually comes out on DVD...
~runs off squealing Zombie movies rule! Yay!~
Yea, this book would definitely make a good movie. I was so excited a few years back when Eli Roth was gonna do it, and a little sad when I found out that deal was no more, but still, HBO does good shows, I like a lot of what I see from them, so hopefully it'll be good!
I remember Cell was the first book by SK I actually read. It was what got me hooked. I've really been waiting for it to be released in some visual form. I think a mini-series would do it justice.
And the timing would be spot on; zombies are the next hottest thing after vampires.
