I`m so glad that I didn`t grow up in the USA, because of what Iv`e seen of schools over there, not just in the movie Carrie, It seems that american teenagers are evil to anyone who doesn`t fit in. I shudder to think what would have happened to me in an american high school!

Sigh - growing-up during the 70's in England & going to a girls' grammer school wasn't amusing either.

This thread makes me sad - so many of us had a bad time (to put it mildly) when we were adolescents.

To any & all bullied adolescents out there:

I also had difficult time at school, and I read Carrie when I was about 14, so, I guess he book did help me, too, knowing that I am not the only one living through such a hard experience at school... I really would like to thank Sai King for this book, as it really can help a lot of teenagers in the same situation. This summer I am also going to give the book to my cousin who is 15 now, by the way, she also has problems with other students at school.
