where is the audiobook?

I'm an avid reader of King's books and I have yet to read one I didn't like. I have never read IT considering at the time it came out I was quite young and books found under the genre of "horror" never caught my eye. Now I love to read a good book like anyone else, but what I like even better is a book read to me. Many of kings books are available in audio format but so far as I can see neither "IT" or "The Stand" have come out in Audio, I don't know about any of you but I would love to see both novels show up in audio.

I'm a trucker who drives all over the united states and audiobooks are some of my best friends while on the road. They keep the boredom away and I get to listen to one of Stephen King's masterpieces.

Sorry, I appreciate your trying to help out but I'm not going to be posting a link that goes to a site that violates Steve's copyright. There are no legal mass market audiobooks of IT at this time. I've suggested to his current audiobook publisher that this title as well as The Stand are among the top requests for books that have not yet been adapted to this format.

There is an audiobook out, but I believe it's especially made for blind people, so it's really hard to find

First I wanna say thanks for those of you who responded. I did do a little looking and found some un-authorized recordings of "IT" but I'm not a fan of that type of material since you never know if it's going to be a decent copy, or even if it is an actual copy but full of Viruses.

Ms. Mod, I would have got to this sooner but work has kept me busy. I noted that you have mentioned that many of Mr. Kings' fans have asked after audio versions of "The Stand" and "IT". What I would like to know is how do the publishers respond when you bring this up to them? Is there some kind of copyright issue? Or is it just that they are so busy with other work they haven't gotten around to doing two of SK's most popular novels?

They tell me how much they appreciate the information and I never hear anything about it until the next time they ask for input about what fans would like and I tell them again. I suspect it may be about permission rights with the former publisher of those books but I don't know that with certainty. It could also be the cost for producing books of that size although they haven't been deterred by Under the Dome which is similar in size. I'll try to see if I can find out what their reason might be.

It suffices to say I would very much like to purchase a legal copy of "It" as an audio book. I'm certain it would have a market.
