TV Commercials that you love to hate

I know there was a thread started by Carrie Ann about your favorite commercials and there was another one re: "As seen on TV" but I can't believe we've never touched on those commercials we all love to hate. You know those commercials that just won't go away, that we mute or just make you change the channel. Here are some of my all time favorites.

1. Viagra/Cialis - I mean, come on already what's with those bathtubs and Viva Viagra?
2. Geico - both the Cavemen and the wad of cash with the eyeballs.
3. Marie Osmond and her Nutrisystem Weightloss. I couldn't stand the woman when she was skinny the first time around.
4. CigArrest - smokers vitamins? Really?
5. KY Intense (my new favorite) - sexual lubricant with the couple in a bed. Now there's something I want my grandchildren to ask about.

Those Viagra commercials are bad!!!! I have a friend whose 7 year-old asked her, and her doctor husband, "Am I healthy enough for sex?"

And I thought our infamous Kentucky Jelly was some rather nasty stuff...it's a pox on the whole blasted BlueGrass I'm afraid.

I'm sick and tired of every one of those spots Terry mentioned too (especially all of the pocket rocket spots...like there's not one coke head left who ain't already hip ...yeah, he just woke from a disco era 'cain induced coma...and not a moment is right to soon), but I'm really disgusted with all of the big pharma "talk to your doctor about..." miracle pill ads that they're pushing on the public completely unbridled these post Bush/Republican in power days (a true blue pal to big pharma, among others...hard to find loyal chumps...uhh, chums like that, I totally admit)...don't they sell a selection of tasty & salty, scrumptiously delicious crap anymore?
From one extreme to another I guess...after all, it is the American way.

Have ya noticed how channel surfing during the evening news hours, are now just a big pharmacopia 'o chemical magic bullet pitches?
One after another, and sometimes there'll be the same spot on three or four channels...I guess for us cheaters who're trying to get away with somethin'...like a modicum of sanity.
While I'm positive it's not all snake oil, is it really much different than the old wagons selling patend medicine...you know, without the free quality entertainment?
I'm so very sorry, but Viva Viagra doesn't count as quality...well, anything actually.

I agree about the pharmaceutical commercials. The dichotomy of a) what the drugs can correct in most cases , and b) the side effects some users have reported, this leaves me incredulous! Its like trading one bad feeling for another. But meanwhile the images and music are so soothing, so simple, with lots of trees and happy families and people. Its pretty creepy.

These slick commercials really make me appreciate the cheapo local commercials for carpeting and the like. Its refreshing to see a commercial just be a cheap piece of crap instead of a slick million dollar piece of crap.

I don't love to hate them, I just hate them.

But the Enzyte (sp) commercials with Bob, who is suddenly the big hit of the neighborhood after some enhancement.

And one of the pregnancy test ones, where the stick thing is hovering like a spaceship from Star Wars while urine streams towards it. Come on now.

There is a great local commercial for a chinese place- It has this super-redneck character talking about how good the food is.
And for such a vaal-youuuuuuuu!

I think those commercials backfire, because the disclaimers at the the end detailing the side effects and contraindications are really scary! I'm all, "uh ... never mind, I'll skip it."
