The Comfort and Sweetness of Peace
    After the clouds, the sunshine,
    after the winter, the spring,
    after the shower, the rainbow,
for life is a changeable thing.
    After the night, the morning,
    bidding all darkness cease,
    after life's cares and sorrows,
the comfort and sweetness of peace.

What a sad, sad day this is. I did not know that he had passed. This is a shock! I never knew him personally, but I did meet him once at a World Fantasy Convention and asked him to sign my Grant copy of The Talisman. He was indeed delighted to do so and did it with a huge grin on his face. I told him I blamed him for my craving for finely published books, such as his, as that particular volume was the very first collectable book I ever bought and it made me realize what cheap pieces of (----) the books were that one could buy in the regular bookstores. He laughed at that and thanked me. I knew that he had retired from Grant books a few years ago and I hope that he enjoyed himself after that. What a fine man he was! God speed, Don!!!!!

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.

I am not there; I did not die.

Wow, did not know that he had passed away. I have his autograph somewhere in my collection. I think his is in my Stephen King Encyclopedia signed edition.
