Default Here comes the remake train....

I've been looking up what movies are being remade in the next while and stumbled over this on imdb:

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0837563/

It's true, there are almost zero details, but I hope they do it justice. I loved the book, liked the original movie, and while I don't really see the need for a remake, I'd give it a chance.

Default What are the odds it is a Rob Zombie production?

I would say high-ish. "Sometimes dead is better".

I make it 10 minutes into the movie and are really creeped out and shut it off. The book is on my winter to read list. Haven't read it before. (amazingly enough).

I always thought the best part of the 1989 original were the closing credits, with the Ramones title song...
I just hope the remake is going to be better, since now there are no Ramones to save the movie.

...I honestly can't wait for the remake, lol. I'm all for the classics, but I didn't grow up watching those movies. I guess you could say I'm more of a modern guy.

The book was alot better than the movie was to me. I would read this book if you haven't before.

I think the original movie was pretty good and in such cases making a remake is a pretty risky deed... I wouldn't mind giving it a try, but I'm not feeling all that optimistic.

You never know, with all the modern CGI stuff we have now, this remake might actually be pretty good. (The original wasn't bad either, but...) I wonder who would play the kid? Is there one out there as creepy as the first one?
