    Default common thread

If you've read all of Stephen King's works. Don't you agree that a common thread runs through them? i.e. The Tower

Absolutly! One of my favorite things about SK is the way the majority of the novels are tied together in some small way. My fave tie ins are when its really subtle, like a newspaper article that ties to another book or a general comment by one of the characters like a "Hey remember when.....".

Peanut butter doesn't belong in bananas. That monkey could get sick!

I like peanut butter and bananas but I've never thought of combining the two...until now. Could be an interesting combo.

I think Steve may have even made a reference somewhere (Needful Things?) to Elvis Presley's fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

I love it when he refers to something that happened in an earlier book as prettiwican said.
There also seem to be themes/items that pop up again and again such as ravens/crows, the protagonist is a writer, Maine of course, twins...I'm sure there's more?
