I am happy today because...

Well, since I had two-three threads lately that were kind of heavy, and a few posts that didn`t make myself happy, or any of you own the board I believe, I took the liberty of being an a$$ and plagiarize Achmed`s topic " I am fool today because ..." with a slightly different title.
Forgive me, Achmed, royalties will be paid later on, trust me. You do trust your buddy, yes ?

Anyway, I would like you to write down something that makes you happy on a given day, and share the happiness with us, if you don`t mind.

For me, today what makes me happy is that, when I looked at my daughter (she was in her playpan while I was roaming the board here ) she hid her face with a small blanket, then took it of and said, in a baby voice, but very understandable : "Peekaboo!" and smiled...I was roaring with laughter.

I got to see Pearl Jam. I'm done now. I don't need anymore concerts after that one.

I stepped out to get the mail. The dirt driveway was still moist from the rain two days ago. The sun was warm, the sky was blue and a mockingbird was really excited about the song it was singing. I couldn't hear any traffic, there was a slight cooling breeze and the air had a hint of perfume from the wildflowers along the fence.

I was fully engaged in the luxury of being a human on this planet at this particular moment. Things couldn't get better. Then I saw that there were no bills. I almost skipped as I walked back to the house. It is a good day.

...I just am. *shrugs* My mood is usually pretty upbeat, even when I feel like crap. I learned to differentiate between physical illness and mental crap, so most of the time I am still happy, even with the pain. I'm kind of like that golden retriever that will still smile, even on its last trip to the vet. One day, hopefully when I am very old, I plan to meet death with a smile on my face as well.

I guess I am happy today because I can still smile through all of it, all of the stuff that usually bogs other folks down.

I am happy today because I finish my work placement tomorrow then I am travelling to London to see U2...woohoo.
Oh and passing my driving test yesterday has made me very very happy .

Yes, aren't they wonderful at this age, Srbo, my grandaughter is at the same age as your daughter as you know (Hey, it must be your daughter's first birthday coming up soon too, is it not?).
