Default Bag of Bones. It's been 10 years since I've read it

I cant believe it's been 10 years that I read Bag of Bones. I just bought the old paperback from Barnes and Noble when I was out of town earlier today. I dont even remember much about what went on in the book. I used to have the book 10 years ago but I guess I must have sold the book at the usual family rummage sale.

Ironically, I just started reading this one today. Like you, it's been quite a few years since I've read it. It'll be nice to revisit the characters.

I posted the why somewhere else, but this book has parts that I'd stack up against any other "master" of the craft.

"The next time she spoke to me, I don't think she knew who she was talking to, or where she was. The next time she spoke to me, she was dying."

The first time I read that passage I slammed the book shut and started cussing.
C'mon folks, it just doesn't get better that this.

I haven't actually read Bag of Bones yet. I have it sitting on my bookshelf, along with other ones that I haven't read. Is it good (of course it's good, but is it one of the better ones?)

Oh, Fredo. Same thing happened here. I decided that I, a grown man, was entitled to a hissy fit. And so I had one.

It is one of my faves. I've read it twice and listened to the audioboook read by King.
He does a great job on it.
For me it was him breaking new ground and he set a mood at the beginning that never flagged. It may have been his first book for scribner, but I'm not sure.

I agree. It's one of King's better works!

I love this book. Absolutely love it. When I finished it, I told everyone I knew about it...and here I am, still talking about it, lol.
