I hope I said it right. Anyway, I was wondering if this phrase from the book has been around for a while or if Stephen King invented it. I think it's one of the most catchiest things I've ever heard. Quite true, as well.

No idea, but you're right, it's a great phrase
does it matter? old dor is a hoot and where would we be w/o him? didn't janis joplin say somethig like ss/dd (from dreamcatcher) too, somewhere in her travels? almost everyone i've come across has had a way w/words. i suspect some variation on the phase was picked up by sk at some time and insomnia is a better story because of it.
I say this all the time! It sometimes confuses people but that is okay.
Interesting demonstration here of the different attitudes people bring to books.
JRM was interested in the origin; wally wonder wasn't. To me, both viewpoints are valid. I fall into the "wanna know" camp, but you can enjoy the book perfectly well without it.
There are definitely a few trigger words that sets off this phrase going in my head. I've always wondered that too, JRM.
I actually had a while there where I couldn't remember where I was getting the phrase from. It would pop up and I'd rack my brains trying to figure it out.
i wanna know more about what wally wonder...what was he (italics) thinking....or not...as HE would post, or thanks, or not, whatever the case may be....and so it focking goes, here, now, forevermore....and so focking on.
yeah....you should hear my focking commercials.
we LOVE our team.
