A little press for 'Salem's Lot-
I was sitting in the veterinarian's waiting room with a copy of Entertainment Weekly in which they list the 20 best vampires and interview vampire fiction writers.
When asked about scariest vampire book almost all of them said, you guessed it, Salem's Lot.
Except Stephanie Meyer who said she thought of vamps as pretty sparkly teenagers and only sex was scary -- or something like that.

Ugh. That's the unfortunate stereo-type nowadays. I'm thinking Stephanie Meyer hasn't read Salem's Lot. Actually, some of the vampires in the book are attractive too but not all the time, and they're certainly scary.

Maybe it is just me......I did not fing Salem's Lot very scary at all. I don't know if it was the mood I was in when I read it or what was going on in my life that altered how I read it....it simply was not scary at all for me.

    Is that Weird ???
