Well I didn't really get "from the shadow exploded" part... But I just kinda skipped that and just read the story. Lol

Carrie is almost like a fake Documentary. Carrie going berserk at the prom was a huge news story, and then several books were written about the incident. The Shadow exploded is one of them, and seems be the main one. But there are also other articles that are referenced, a book by Sue Snell court hearings etc. But it's not just a fake documentary, most of the story is told only to the reader and isn't documented anywhere.

On topic though I also found it hard to find stop points, because it wasn't also clear that the booked moved to a new chapter.
