Have you ever read a book that mentions/goes into detail as part of the storyline the town where you live in? I do!!!
And every time I read it I feel special and a closer bond with the author.

Do you know of any books that mention where you live? WHICH!

Once upon a time I lived in Bangor and some other King-country areas, which yeah was pretty cool. Some of the descriptions gave me goosebumps, because it makes the story feel that much more real.

Hey...I've never read a book that relates to the city I live in, yet I do quite often imagine I am a character in the books I am reading...a very big weakness of mine when I get drawn into a story

I've never seen my town described in literature. There's a reason for that. My town sucks. However, a town I lived in was once mentioned in an oldies song. It goes, "Good mornin', America, how are you? Don't ya know me, I'm your native son...."

Every novel by Sheila Quigley is set in my city of Sunderland in the UK!

I remember getting exited when I first read about Larry coming out of the Lincoln Tunnel to the Jersey side, as I used to travel that route every day. Then they went through Nutley,NJ, which was were I lived for awhile. It was cool to read that.

Anne Tyler uses Baltimore as the town in which most of her books are located. I don't live there but used to go shopping there as a kid - you know, school clothes and christmas. Always makes me sort of melanhcoly.
