    ***Possible Spoilers***

I have to say I cry whenever one of the main characters dies in SK's books. He is so good at character development that it effects me when any of them die.

The ones I remeber the most:

The guy at the end of Insomnia... have to make sure the book is up far enough from my lap that I don't drip all over it.

The kid and the dog in CUJO: wow, never saw the kid dying coming, ofcourse you know the dog is most likely going to die (any animals dying in books or movies bugs me) but, until the very end you are thinking "the kid and the mom are going to make it" then it just isn't so.

    John Coffey: no words

Wolf: I have to say I got a bit mad at Stephen for this one, even though I know he was just "telling the truth", doesn't mean I would have minded if he decided to lie just this once. I know, I know, the fact he won't lie when telling his stories is one of the things that makes him great. If you want to know what I am talking about read "On Writing".

    And, many others.

I was so upset when Oy died, read the sentence about three times to be sure; denial I guess.

For me it was Larry and Glen. After all they they went through....
And then when Mr. Jingles got killed..Do not laugh at me, but I cried. What a relief it was when he came back.

Man I'm glad to finally see some Wolf posts towards the end of this thread! For me that was undoubtedly the saddest death scene in all of King's work. There are others that just make me feel "aww", but that got to me bad when Wolf died. I've only read The Talisman twice and I knew it was coming the second time, which may have made it worse, but I had to take more than one breather during that last scene. I really am getting teary eyed just thinking about it. Poor guy.
