    Default Deloris on CD

I loved this book when I read it. Can't believe it but the CD has been even more fun.

What do the rest of you think about the audio books? (Particularly this one.)

For me, the reading by Frances Sternhagen is one of the best ever. I enjoyed it more than the book itself (which is saying something!). Sternhagen IS Dolores!

Did you know the audio tape (I've not listened to the CD, so I'm not sure of it) is different textually from the hardcopy? There are numerous (I've got a 28-page Word document!) differences between the two. Many are very minor, such as changes in names, etc., but others are more significant. Did you know that Dolores had five brothers and five sisters? If you read only the book, this is unknown. It IS on the tape.

I love this version too!!! Frances is brilliant! She made me laugh more than once! Her cursing and her accent make it so nice to listen. The only thing I did not like was the stupid music playing when Dolores is telling about seeing the girl from Gerald's Game.

And it's true! There are differences from the book!! I would love to know why...and how these things come to be!
