Gerald's game and Delores Claiborne

I was wondering if anyone who read both Delores Claiborne and Gerald's
game noticed the connection between the two books.

It is the original way -- to connect two different stories by mystical vision. But is such vision only author's fantasy or SK opened slightly hidden topest secret?

I don't know if it's true, but I've heard that Stephen had planned on writing a story involving Delores & Jesse (of course, it has been many years since I've read any updates, so...who knows?)
