    Default Bug Out (short story)

I came across a short story yesterday. It hit home like a punch in the gut. Presented as several posts in one thread.

We live in hurricane country. Having a BOB is common.

It is like buying insurance. You hope you never need it, but it makes sense to have it. I have one for each family member and a couple for friends that don't 'get it', yet.

WOW Corbin. Haven't finished it yet (need to get some stuff done) but definitely will be reading the rest tonight! Great find, and yes, I'm semi-prepared. Just makes me realize that I'm doing the same thing Joe had done in the story. Had plans to do this and that, but hadn't done it yet!
    Thanks for sharing your find!!!!!!

I'm glad I don't live in West Palm Beach anymore. In 2004 we got hit by nulitple hurricanes. I remember the news saying how well everyone got along during them. Obviously the reporters weren't stuck in major traffic just to get to and from work with absolutely no stop lights. Chaos. If it had gone on for a few more days things might have gotten nasty. Thank god I'm back in the country side.
