Default Fun is fun and done is done...

What a fantastic story! Just about the entire thing is "quotable." I know everybody gets their own type of message or "take" from a novel or short story, but this one really drove home the point for me that life is short. We must enjoy every moment we all have together, because you never know how much time anyone has here.

I Rode the Bullet too! Well, at least I think I have....it might have been called "the zipper," but I think it was the same thing.

I haven't seen the movie adaptation yet, but it's on my list. Anybody have any thoughts or opinions about the movie? The story?

The Zipper and the BULLET are not the same. The bullet could only hold 8 people at a time, it had 2 bullet shaped 'cars' with 2 compartments in each. 2 people could ride in each compartment. 0---l---0 It was the very first 'big' ride I ever went on. I was 5. I am lucky because my birthday is August 5th and the Bangor state fair is usually going during my birthday.

I just finished this short story last night. It creeped me out. I am not easily flustered but, this one did it for me. It started with Alan noticing the dark mark around Staub's neck. Creepy!

Read this one on vacation last week. Quick read, but he really painted a picture. I could "see" the entire story very vividly, if that makes sense.

My favorite part of this whole movie is when the grim reaper walks into the bathroom with a j. That part automatically made this movie one of my favorites.
