Finished Reading Cujo, Reactions (SOME SPOILERS)

I HATED the ending. Really upset me. Steve was in the middle of drug problems when he wrote this one so may that explains the dispairing tone of it.

Yeah apparently he doesn't even remember writing the majority of this novel.

hello everyone. It's been a while since I read Cujo; however, this is the first time I have had the opportunity to talk about the book with other SK fans.

1. First I was wondering if anyone knows how SK came up with the name "cujo" I think it is the absolutely most fitting name for this dog.

King mentions in the book that "Cujo" is a nom de guerre of a member of the Symbionese Liberation Army. The SLA kidnapped Patty Hearst and, if I recall correctly, SK once considered writing a non-fiction account of the kidnapping. So he likely came across the name in that context although the media misreported the spelling which was actually "Kahjoh."

I liked Cujo- thought the way that it didn't have chapters as such, rather than just breaks in the story meant that it flowed really well.
