Then I suggest you check out this site I found yesterday:

    http://www.paperbackswap.com/index.php

It's basically a library with no return dates. You send books to people and you get credits which you can use to receive more books that you can keep as long as you want. I haven't actually used the site yet, but I think I'm going to try it out soon. I just wanted to let you all in on this site, which to me seems pretty promising.

A really good friend of mine uses this website all the time. She swears by it. You do have to pay shipping when you send your books to others, but it is a great deal!!!!

I could never part with my paperbacks and lend them out. Especially with no exact date they would be back.

Oh, is that what it is? You loan out your own books? I don't know if I could do that! Books are my fortune!! As a matter of fact I'm trying to organize them now, it should take me about a million years, LOL!! I'll check it out but I don't know if I could entrust my books out to others, LOL! I'm a book miser I tell ya!

It's more of you swap books with a large group of people and everyone posts what they want to swap and what they have to swap. It works out pretty good if you don't keep your paperbacks after you read them.

That is a good idea! The only thing, have you ever heard of the man who wanted to be buried in their fancy expensive car? Well, I want to be buried with my books, LOL! Won't be any room in the coffin for me, but that's just fine and dandy!!

When I traveled in India - up in the mountains, there were no English libraries, so basically backpackers trade books with each other on a regular basis (read it, finish it, exchange it). It's a great way to read many books and not having to carry all of them on your back. I guess this website is a bit like that. I love my King books, but most other books, once I read, I really don't seem to have the need to own. Let them go, I day - let them make other people happy.
