    Default The ending to 'Insomnia'

i really liked this book, although i could tell when it came to who the little boy was, i was missing the impact of that moment because i've not read 'the dark tower' yet. but what i wanted to comment on was the way ralph died. he kept telling ... (forgive me, i finished this a month ago and moved on to another book and i've forgotten the woman's name!) ...to keep away, not see him go out and sacrifice himself. but then when it came to the car hitting him, i realised if she hadn't come with him, pleading with him not to do it, there would have been less of a time delay and he probably wouldn't have been hit at all...which means she was meant to be there all along, in order to make that sacrifice happen. i thought that was cool.

It is embarrassing for me to admit this, but I haven't read Insomnia yet. And don't worry if there are any spoilers here. I won't remember them if there are.

    Hi,

LOL, know exactly what you mean, Charms.

But I do remember that you'll love Insomnia IMO, VERY highly recommended!

    Long days and pleasant nights

Personally I liked Insomnia. It's been a while since I've read. The last two years I haven't read anything else but SK, so it was time for a break.. We both needed some space..

But you have a point there and I bet Sk was thinking just that while he read it. Everything happens for a reason.. in the SK-universe anyway.

i just finished it and loved Insomina but your point about Lois is right because it seems it was fate for her to be there because as much as she thinks she can stop it she helps instigate it

The great thing about King's writing is that it doesn't MATTER if someone "spoils" it for you.. when you begin reading, you won't remember.

The books are like puzzle pieces. I am always and forever, each and every time I read them (and trust me I do - over and over again) the level of UNCONSCIOUS clicks in a time-line. You can actually feel them in your head. Click-click-click. Puzzle pieces, faces you recognize from somewhere else, glimpses of things.. and people.

Flagg has got to be my all time favorite anti-hero... and the fact that he seems to much a part of Mr. King that all his stories are told and retold with the Crimson King and the Tower.. and and.. and.. (fill in the great big and here)..it boggles my mind, sends my imagination into hyper drive and thrills the living crap out of me..

I'm rambling, I know.. but I have a point! You can't ruin a King book by "spoilers" because once you read it.. and the puzzle pieces click for you..

...you'll find out! Of course, since this was posted in July - you may have already done so..
