I always thought it was his original writing. I've never heard anything like it before. It's an interesting question, though. I wonder if "forgot the face of your father" is from some other culture's teachings. Sounds like it could be some ancient Asian saying, doesn't it? I tried looking it up, but came up with nothing.

I've read The Dark Tower few weeks ago. I really like the way it ends (at the end of all endings, there's always a new begining), and I'm creating a real movie in my head - imagining what will happen next.
I have to admit, I feel a bit empty without being with Roland's ka-tet every day... I believe the part of me will always remain somewhere in the world of their adventures...
    Great job, Mr. King!

Well, you just about summed up exactly how I felt about the tale! I read the whole DT uberstory once a year (at least) and still enjoy the journey just as much each time I revisit it.

Hello again to all the Constant Readers. I'm a bit ashamed that i registered for the forums only to say hello and haven't returned since. Ive got a good excuse though...The Dark Tower. I started in mid May and finished up a few days ago, and WOW,what else can i say. I've started re-reading Pet Sematary just cause i found a first edition copy in a used book store down the block and its been on the nightstand staring at me, but i cant stop thinking about Roland and his ka-tet.I'm finally able to focus on PS now that I'm a hundred or so pages into it, but i find my self hurrying through it so i can start reading DT all over again.I'm addicted!
