    Lightbulb SK's towns

i was wondering what books were took place in which town. like i know Cujo, Needful Things, and The Dead Zone were in Castle Rock. IT is the only one i know that took place completely in Derry, and Tommyknockers in Haven. Also, i think that SK got the name Castle Rock from teh mountain in Maine by the same name. But where did he get Derry? just wondering

There's no mountain in Maine named Castle Rock that I'm aware of but suppose it's possible I missed it. It's more likely he got the name from one of his favorite books, The Lord of the Flies. Derry probably came from Derry, NH.

There's a great resource for information like which towns are in certain books through The Complete Guide to the Works of Stephen King. You do have to purchase some of the information but it's a fantastic resource.

There's maps out there... lemme see...

This is what our "world next door earth" is. We're 19. Maybe they're 20? or 18? Cause Roland's world was what? Ninety Nine? Eh. I'd have to reread to figure it... But there's the map of the world you're talking about, anyway.

I lived in Derry NH many years ago.
We affectionately called it Derriere, or the Big Bum of the North. There was nothing but woods back then..
Did you know there is a Gilead in New Hampshire too? Although I don't think it equates to Roland's Gilead.
    Long days and pleasant nights.
