Just finished the Plant

Man I love those characters. Has anyone heard, is there any chance at all that SK will pick up the story and finish it? I've seen some interviews where he says that he just ran out of story, others where he makes in clear he intends to return to it at some point. Most of the talk centers around the delivery mode and the experimental nature of how it was marketed, but of course I could care less about that, I want to see how the gang manages to get rid of that Plant and who ends up being the innocent blood that feeds it.

It's not something he has plans to work on any time soon but I wouldn't say never. There have been a few projects that were put on the back burner for years, sometimes decades, so if the inspiration comes back to him, then there's a good chance he'll finish it. It's not something he's going to go back to, though, just for the sake of finishing it. The inspiration has to be there first.

I think that's what happened to UNDER THE DOME, he tried writing it in the 80s and now he's finally finished it.

So you can't really count any project out.

Blaze is a good example, too, as the majority of the book remained in the published version. Only the first chapter of Under the Dome made it to this version but it is a good example of Steve picking up a project he'd started much earlier.
