I've been a fan of Stephen King since age 7 in 1988.

Has anyone else here been a fan for that long or longer?

Is there anyone here that, surprisingly, hasn't heard of Stephen King and has just started reading his stuff? (What?! You haven't heard of "Misery"?! Directed by Rob Reiner?! And starring James Caan?! Okay, you've been neglected in earlier years. ;P )

Anyway, please to meet you all. So happy that SK has an official forum w/ discussion, news, etc.

I started reading SK sometime in the mid-eighties. (My memory for details got fried sometime in the mid-seventies!

although i was only born in 1995 ive been a fan of stephen king since about fifth grade when i first found the girl who loved tom gordon and loved it so then i got very interested in all of his work.

I've been a fan for 34 years! Hard to believe. I saw Carrie when I was 16 at the movie theatre. Scared the beejeebers out of me, but sat through it twice.
