Perfect adaptation of the book...well, as good as you can get. I do believe, however, that in the movie as well as in the book, the color of the Canada mint was white. I think it was wintergreen, and those are pink. Am I correct or mistaken?

Just look at all the actors that were in The Green Mile. I would say almost every main character was bigtime famous except maybe Purcy. Even the Deputy was huge for how small his part was. They really pulled some strings on this one and came out with a success for sure.
    I second that!

I don't know if the short story is just the right length for a screen play or what, but I think those 3 are the most accurate renderings of the original stories.

I love this movie! Have been out to the prison it was filmed at. Coffey is just an outstanding actor. I really like his role at any time of the day or night. I have a daughter who thinks Sk is to scary, but she likes Green Mile.

i loved this book and movie! i really think they did a good job following the story line from the book! it had me close to tears in some parts though... (like when mr. Jingles dies, as well as when del and john are "fried") but, great movie and amazing book!

I watched this last week for the first time in a long while, and for the first time since reading the story. The casting was excellent IMHO, although I think they should've left the ending alone and kept it the same as the book. I loved both the book and movie, and the story is very powerful.

I love this movie (ok I just Love SK!). I cried thru this movie and waited on pins and needles for the next installment when the books were first released. It took me less than a day to read one and then it seemed an eternity until the next book was released.
