I've been a fan of Stephen Kings works since i first read The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon at age 13. I read his books and have quite a considerable collection building up. I also like the movies especially those made in the last few years which, on the whole, tend to be a little truer to the source material.
I'm new to the forums.
I'm now 23 and I'm a writer myself. I've been a writer since I was 13. it's only a coincidence that my love of king and my love of writing began around the same time. I've spent many years learning and developing my craft.
It's only since I entered my late teens, 18+ that I think my skill has become good enough to seek publishing. and i've been trying with no sucess, yet, to find an agent.
I consider Stephen King my goal. he's the bar i've got to aim for and boy is it high. The number of books he's written over the years, the quality of those stories and diversity of the plot...let's face it, his sheer awesomeness, is something i strive for in my life.
right now I'm aiming for a publishing date. Stephen was published at 25 so I have to get published before that. *fingers crossed*
if i can achieve half the things he's done in his life I'll be happy.
