Hey have you guys heard about the uncut version of the mini series? it's supposed to be around 7-10 minutes longer and was mostly just gore the tv censors didn't want to be on tv. So is this version real or just a myth?

a myth I think
I have the actual movie on DVD and there is nothing extra on it.
A myth. Hm Iīm living in northern germany. You can buy only 180 min version, but I had heard about a version with 240 min. Donīt know if thatīs true or not, but itīs a longliving myth and I donīt know about the truth.
That would be cool if there was a remake. With Johnny Depp as Pennywise the Clown.
I had once read online that there had been some clips in the movie featuring Pennywise actually dragging the girl away in the first scene and another particular scene of which I don't remember. Chances are that the station that originaly aired this (abc right?) probably rejected those scenes (if they were really shot) and when it was released on Video Casset the couldn't include deleted scenes so when the DVD was released they didn't even have them.
An uncut version would be worth watching.
The only 'extra' footage I have ever seen was when It aired on British TV (Sky perhaps) many years ago. There was one additional scene that definitely doesn't exist on the VHS or DVD copies that I own, or on any other TV broadcasts I have seen.
It showed the adult Bill, newly returned to Derry, sitting in his hotel room and pondering to himself 'What the hell am I doing here?' or words to that effect. Then the camera pans down into the sewers, or something like that.
Perhaps this is something that many of you have also seen, so I don't know how rare it is.
"IT-The Uncut Version or Behind The Greasepaint, next on Entertainment Tonight!", Maybe we could get Geraldo to investigate the sewers of Derry-Lord knows he's done just about every other knuckleheaded thing known to man-and if we're lucky-Pennywise would take him on a VERY personal tour...
the only thing i can think of that is different, i have the Australian VHS copy of it and it doesnt have the scene in Juniper Hills where Beltch helps Henry Escape, and the scene where the dog/pennywise get even with the koonts guy or whatever his name was. Anyways, the dvd version has this footage. also the scenes that were missing in the Australian VHS were when the adults were all back at the hotel in derry with the newsclippings, and ben talks about his weight loss and run-in with the coach at his highschool. this was not in the VHS but was on the DVD. so i know the difference between those. if that helps.
