how could you make this a movie? the story itself was so ridiculous and funny, not even scary, just a ironing machine that eats you... basically. anybody catch the reference to "The mangler" in the novella "shawshank redemption?" i was like "heeeeeeeeeeeeeey!"

Haven't yet seen the film but it is one of my least favorite stories. I DID catch the reference in Shawshank though. I thought: What a trip!

yes i have seen it, it was very enjoyable, espically when the Speed Iron turned on someone, that was cool, and when i saw it come alive, i was like Runnn!.

It was alright....close to the short story, but why was Freddy Kreuger in it? Shouldn't he be in people's nightmares?

Haven't seen it yet, bidding on it on ebay tho' ....not too sure about Robert Englund tho'.....he's kinda cemented in my mind as Freddy

Thought the short story was good, have the DVD on my shelf, I will get round to it soon, just for the sheer fun of it and because it is from a King short story I don't mind if its bad, just that it's king

Saw this one last night... Urm.... not too bad, well not aweful anyway. I'm suprised they made it last that long with the amount of material from SK's short story. I liked the SFX
