Rereading FireStarter

I am now rereading Firestarter after finding it in a store by accident, and I have to confess it's way better than I remembered. Do you suppose this is because books improve the second time around? For me this is usually the case with Mr. King's books. Do everyone else feel this way?

Wine and books make a fine simile. I'm rereading Salem's Lot and I've drawn the same conclusion...it does seem better the second time around.

hi michal. my guess is that on the second time through with one read under your belt you pick up on all the stuff you missed cause you were reading too fast. oh sh!t the mummy's following us let's all walk a little faster! second read, you have that extra cushion and are fairly confident that yeah, okay, the mummy's not going to catch us. i'm thinking of giving this another read, too. it's foggy in my memory. just finished the tommyknockers and there's a pile of stuff in that one that i'm amazed i didn't catch the first time or two through.
