I have noticed a the rose popping up in most of the King novels I have read. I didnt see it as significant until I read the DT series. I just wonder what everyone else thinks of this.

Hi,
The Rose is a symbol in Christianity for Jesus, and for love, so it is no surprise it has a lot to do with Gan and the Dark Tower. Also, a good trick for a writer is to take something common and overlooked and use it in a new way to make readers think of the story whenever they see this thing.
^ I get that reaction, thinking of The Dark Tower, whenever I see a rose or a tall tower of any kind in an open field (even scarier when there are actually roses around it and the tower is black!).
Other than that, who doesn't love a rose?
Long days and pleasant nights
you definately start looking at roses differently
Kindof reminds me of Men in Black #? when there was the universe in the locker and at the end, K kicks open the door and our universe is a locker...it's just too big to think about
also when roland is having his palaver with walter it is mentioned, a purple blade of grass that in itself contains a thousand worlds in its atoms.......really makes you think![]()
