if so, it is perfectly logical motivation to read The Bible in its entirety if I finish the Stand. And that is pretty cool too.

Hi,
Don't know if it is or not but it's certainly better written than most parts of the anthology of short stories which comprise the Bible.
Having said that, I'd recommend reading the Bible in its entirety to anyone, I've done that several times.
Long days and pleasant nights
I thought about that too! The Bible isn't just a straight story though there's alot of things to think about and interpret. I think the Bible needs to be studied and if you're Christian lived by. You probably won't get much as much from it by reading it as a straight story. If getting some enlightment is your goal.
I would say that the bible is definately 'thicker' than The Stand.![]()
`pends on how big the type is!
The Bible would be much thicker than The Stand if they were printed with the same kind of paper. Most Bibles are printed on extremely thin paper or else they would be too large to carry around.
The Stand is a great book but The Bible is in a class by itself and will be until the end of time.
Long days and pleasant nights.
Blood is thicker than water, and vaseline is thicker than Jello.
The Bible is vastly overrated, IMO, but was certainly ahead of its time when it was written.
I reckon that in a thousand years, The Stand will be recognised as the finer work of the two.
Either way, the bible is a good read and probably the greatest piece of literature this world has ever seen. The most life changing for sure.
