I recently visited the island of Jamaica, and while there I was given a book to read titled "The White Witch of Rose Hall". This is a great story that has never been put on film. I believe it would be a masterful Stephen King movie. Rose Hall was a sugar and rum plantation in the early 1800's and Annie Palmer was the mistress of the house. In a nutshell, she moved to Haiti with her parents from Ireland to become planters. Her parents died of the fever, and she was left alone to be raised by a native Haitian woman who found her to possess a special ability to learn Obea majic. She learned the craft and wished to be married and somehow found her way to Jamaica to wed Mr. Palmer. He owned 6,000 acres and hundreds of slaves. She is said to have murdered three husbands and disguised there deaths as accidents. She was 18 when married first and lived just 11 more years. The story is fascinating and I would love to see it made into a movie. Please contact Mr. King and tell him of this book. Thanks.
