When you start reading the Dark Tower series you will understand. Roland is from the line of Eld.

Just bought Eye's of the Dragon about a month ago, but haven't read it yet. My "book guy" said my son would love it!!! (It's SK.....who wouldn't love him.)

My sister and I just bullied one of our friends daughters into reading the Long Walk. She said she just didn't understand how people could "read" and like it. Autumnlyn threatened not to feed her anymore, (she's a GREAT cook and people go to her house on a daily basis just to eat, oh yeah, and for the company!)----We made her promise to finish the story and that was two days ago. She's already half way through the book!!!!!
    Ahhh, we got another one~!!!

It was a very good told fairytale/ fantasy story, and it had that "ancient legends" scent to it.

I like the fact some question remains unanswered. Let my imagination work it out on its own

I agree...I would love a number two! I found this book in a used book store and it was pretty beat up. I thought it sounded different and unusual for SK. I read it in less than 48 hours. I was immediately hooked by the first sentence. I was homeschooling my children at that time and quickly integrated it into our English and Literature curriculum. My boys loved it. I have passed that old tattered book around and everyone I give it to thinks it is fab and a true work of art. Is the book simple and easy to read, yes, but that is the beauty of it! Plan on reading it again on a cold winter day, well, maybe a rainy one will do.

I am having trouble finding this book in any of the stores around here. I've actually been looking for it for several years. I guess I will just have to order it online. I'm not really looking forward to that because they charge entirely too much.

I also was wanting another novel telling the tale of Thomas and Dennis on their search for Flagg.
Eye's of the Dragon was a refreshing, easy read after reading a bunch of SK's other adult novels.

This is one novel that I've tried to read, but never was able to get into. I'm not sure why. Hopefully one day I will be able to read it.

Maybe we'll find out what happenned to Thomas and Dennis and Flagg in the recently announced [I]Wind Through the Keyhole[I] book? the title sounds like it could go along with Eyes of the Dragon.

And this book is my absolute favorite, behind IT and The Talisman.
