I just finished reading Hearts in Atlantis, a wonderful book IMO, someone else will have to tell you what it is about though, all I will say is Read it!![]()
ooo I like that title![]()
Read it and find out.![]()
It's a series of interconnected stories that deal with friends from childhood to adult, the Vietnam War and it is also linked to The Dark Tower. I know thats not much to go on but
worth the ride.
Hi,
Hearts in Atlantis is about 619 pages (UK paperback).
Seriously, read the book, especially if you've read DT.
Long days and pleasant nights
We have synopses for each of the novellas in the Library section for Hearts in Atlantis. Only the one for Low Men in Yellow Coats is on the main page, but if you go to the left column the others are in the In this collection subsection.
There are several stories in Hearts in Atlantis, but for me the story of Hearts in Atlantis itself is about love, and about how one may find it in the most unexpected places.
I strongly suggest reading it! I let it sit there for a few years and wasn't overly keen to check it out. One day I just dug in and started reading it..and finished it fairly quickly. It was better than I thought it would be, for sure. It just goes to show, you can't judge a Stephen King book by its cover!
Take care,
K
I enjoyed the book, but I made the mistake of watching the movie first. It was a good movie. Sir Anthony Hopkins was a main character. Enough said.
As I had already seen the movie, when I read the book...I got to the end of the movie in the book and had a little WTF? moment...there was still a lot of book to go. Luckily much of it was good.
Read the book and then rent the movie; I think you'll see what I'm typing about.
