Red face Favorite quote from a stephen king book

My favorite quote from a Stephen king book follows: "Maybe, there aren't any such things as good friends or bad friends- maybe there are just friends, people who stand by you when you're hurt and who help you feel not so lonely. Maybe they're always worth being scared for, and hoping for, and living for. Maybe worth dying for, too, if that's what has to be. No good friends. No bad friends. Only people you want, need to be with; people who build their houses in your heart." - Eddie Kaspbrak- IT... What's yours?

My favorite quote (right now) is from Wolves of the Calla: Roland: "Let God pick a winner."

"The act of writing stories hasn't been new for me in a long time, but that doesn't mean it's lost its fascination. If I don't find new ways of keeping it fresh and interesting, though, it'll get old and tired in a hurry. I don't want that to happen, because I don't want to cheat the people who read my stuff (that would be you, dear Constant Reader), and I don't want to cheat myself, either. We're in it together, after all. This is a date we're on. We should have fun. We should dance."

There seems to be profound bits in every Sk book I have read. I go back and re-read the passage and say WOW. Those little gems make the story!

Personally, I'm rather partial to "The place where you made your stand never mattered. Only that you were there...and still on your feet".-The Stand.

I've taken that as my own personal motto and i consider it one of the most inspiring things I have read.

Wasn't "All work and no play..." from Kubrick's The Shining, not King's?

Wow, there are so many great ones to choose! I love Vera Donovan in Dolores Claiborne when she says "...sometimes being a bitch is all a woman has to hold on to." I use that from time to time. And Pennywise saying "...we all float down here..." has a high creep factor to it.
