Just bought this collection: what first?

So I've recently bought this collection from eBay but being away from home for most of the year means I won't get to see it. I'm shipping it to my parent's address and I want them to post out a couple of books to me every month.



Included in the collection are:

The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, Nightmares And Dreamscapes, From A Buick 8, Skeleton Crew, Four Past Midnight, Gerald's Game, Misery, Wolves Of The Calla, Everything's Eventual, Hearts In Atlantis, The Dark Half, Cell, The Dark Tower, The Tommy Knockers

And also being with what I've bought, but already read, are: Black House, Dream Catcher, Different Seasons, It, Insomnia.

Disregarding the books I've already read, what books (maybe top 5?) do you recommend and in what order? I have a vague idea about some of the books but not being able to paw through them for a definitive choice I'm leaving the decision in your hands!

Just the first 4-5 that you think I should read first... just to get me started!

Great collection!

Gerald's Game is my favorite so that is a must. The Dark Half is another favorite, Misery is a must read and Everything's Eventual is a great collection. I don't think you could go wrong with just reading the collections and you should read the Dark Tower in order so I'd probably put a bit of a hold on Wolves and The Dark Tower.

Nice looking books, they are all so shiny!! If you aren't going to read chronologically then it really doesn't matter which you start with. Except Wolves of the Calla and the Dark tower, those need to be read in order with the rest of the DT series. I'd start with some short stories from Everything's Eventual.

The two best ones you got are Wolves and DT...but don't read them until you've read the others in the DT series.

Out of the others my list: Hearts, Dark Half, Cell, Misery, and take your pick!!!!

Nope, I have The Stand, which I'll be reading before I get into this collection... though I must admit if I had Salem's Lot in that collection I would have picked it first; it's definitely one I'll be getting soon.

I think after reading the replies I know my first few, for sure.

The Dark Half, Misery, Hearts in Atlantis, Everything's Eventual, Gerald's Game and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. Honestly those were the ones I were drawn to initially so it's good to have some confirmation.

I don't think I'll be touching The Dark Tower series for a while... but I'm not sure. After just reading Black House, I am intruiged... but like I have with The Stand, I feel like I need to save it! I won't start reading that series until I have all 7 books, either.
