Christine does whatever she wants! She recreates herself after every "accident". She could have six doors if she wanted. I think the story flows better with four doors. It makes her original. The choking scene with Leigh and Arnie wouldn't have been as fluid if the hitchhiker had to push past a choking Leigh to get out of the car.

As Leigh says when she and Dennis are hatching plans on how to destroy her "Nuke the '58! Nuke the '58!"

Makes me want to read that book. Again.

I was not a fan of the book. The movie was okay.

Hey that's okay, i'm into volkswagen , i couldn't tell you what a car should look like if my life depended on it. If you notice that car appears in other stories. (riding the bullet.) oooh spooky.

Well if you watched the movie Christine was the only two tone car that came off the assembly line. The rest were beige.

i believe it also makes an appearance near the end of It. Belch (the ghost) was "driving" that car when he took Henry Bowers to the library to off Mike, iirc

This was the first SK book I read. I saw the movie, then read the book. Obviously the book was a lot better. I've been hooked ever since.

I bet the 58 Fury couldn't rebuild itself, open and close its doors, turn on and off the radio, and all of the other cool stuff that Christine did either. So a lot of the features on Christine were altered from the original model. I loved the book and the movie.
