I have read several of his books, they are usually psychological horror books dealing with children. I recently read The Manhattan Hunt Club, which deals with adults. A educated well mannered man is wrongly accused of attempted rape and beating of a young woman when he tries to help her. He is convicted and sent to jail. His father and fiance support him vehemently knowing he could never do such a thing. He is supposed to be transported to Rikers prison but the van he is in is hit by another vehicle and blown up after he is dragged from the back and replaced by a dead body. He is taken under the subways of New York City where it turns out there is a population of "Houseless" people who have made a village to live in under there. Him and a very psychotic man are thrown together and made to walk the dark subways looking for a way out. They are told if they make it out a live they are free but of course when they do reach exits of the subway they are blocked by people hired by these ruthless killers on the hunt for the men. The father and fiance finding out Jeff wasn't really killed go searching for him under the subways. I highly recommend this book because no character is what your first impression says. Trust me read this book.
