    Default Frustrated with Comic Collection

Is anyone else having trouble keeping track of all the new Stephen King comics? I was doing pretty well with the DT when they first came out, but now I feel like I just can't keep up. I wanted to make sure that I bought them all (I just don't like to have pieces missing from my collection) but between the confusing numbering system, the bound vs unbound editions, the sketchbooks and now the whole new set of The Stand comics I feel like I need a close friend in the comic industry or something.

Maybe I just don't understand comics, but I wish it was just numbered issue #1 through #10,456 or however many they are going to make. That way I would know if I was missing one without having to go through the whole stack comparing titles and editions.

I am really enjoying the art, and I love the medium, but I am very frustrated with the buying process.

Has anyone found a solution for this? Is there a master list somewhere that I can compare against? Is there a way to subscribe to them like a magazine so that they just show up at my door when the new one comes out?

For info on the Dark Tower comics, go here.

For The Stand, go here and here

We'll have more as it comes out, but for The Talisman, go here.

I used the links MsMod gave and made a list, checking them off as they arrived. This way I'd know if my store missed a sending. Since I am rural, I found a comic shop and spoke with the owner. He was great and set up a mailing schedule. Always calls after each arc to make sure I desire to continue, or to inform me of a "special" edition. Presently getting the Dark Tower and The Stand. Hope that helps.

I've only been collecting the hard cover editions. They seem easier to keep track of that way. Hopefully the lists that Ms.Mod posted will help you though.

We have also created printable checklists that can be downloaded and taken to the comic store. A dear friend updates these whenever something new comes out so the link is always fresh.

I guarantee the download is perfectly safe.

PDF Checklist for The Dark Tower

    PDF Checklist for The Stand

If you collect only the hardcover editions, you are missing out on all the extras that are published in the individual comics. As long as you understand this, okay.

Yep, me too! I like having the arcs in one place, in hardcover. Seems easiest for long term wear and tear.

I'm just buying the hard cover ones. To many little ones and mail cost and US/CA is killing my bank account.
