    Default Writer's critique group

I'm betting there are several aspiring writers on the forums regularly. I'm trying to find a few people who would be willing to swap short story or novel exerpts of maybe 2000-3000 words for critiquing. This would be for content as well as grammar. I've had a few short stories published but do not like to submit anything without having at least 1 or 2 other writers look at it. I can look at my own work several times and think it's perfect, only to have a fresh set of eyes read it and see glaring mistakes or weaknesses.
I'm in a local critique group but it only meets once a month and it would take forever to get an entire novel critiqued. Is anyone else in this boat? Please post a message here or on my profile page. dsurrett.

    Long days and pleasant night.

I'm interested, but I play fast and loose with grammer (Kelsey). And I make up words.

(I did win a state 'Spelling Bee' in fourth grade for "coup d'etat.")

To me story > pace > grammar. Once a writer has the basic functional techniques under his belt or her knickers, well...go to town.

I don't know how much material I will contribute, as I tend to rewrite as I write chunks, but I think the experience could be instructional.

One thing I bring to the table...an honest opinion.

Oh, and I won't plagiarize too much ;P

I have absolutely nothing of mine that I would like read (would rather read than write any day), but I wouldn't mind taking a look. Anything less than three thousand would be acceptable. I have read many pieces of varying length and subject matter and would be happy to critique for grammar, content, or lucidity. I have written for a few scholarly journals, and I know fiction like the back of my hand though I do not write professionally. Please feel free to contact me via this site.
