    Default Question for men:

How many of you, when by yourself will buy sanitary products for your female partner? It took me a couple of years to learn to get the right kind, but I still get comments from the occasional female cashier.
    (Ladies feel free to comment.)

No, I definitely steer clear of such purchases. Some things just weren't meant to be!

I have however, occasionally bought my partner SANITY products, as she is one crazy fool. But none of them work, alas!

    Hi,

No problem, I did feel a little daunted in my early 20's but soon became inured.

*chuckles* I have to help men pick out the right ones based upon the notes their girlfriends and wives and daughters send them to the store with... I've had men refer to it as 'the stuff that goes with the Midol'.

How many brave men are out there?

I don't think it would ever even cross my mind to ask my boyfriend to buy such things.

My husband will. He was really embarrassed at first (okay, he still is), but I told him if he is going to reap the benefits of me being a female, he can do his part with the maintenance. But it is rare that he has to purchase anything for me, I usually remember to re-stock if I need to.

I have been married to my sweet wife for over 10 years. I don't volunteer for the job, but if it must be done, it must be done.

Since it's about as natural as granola, I don't worry about it too much.

It's not often that I've had to have my husband pick stuff like that up for me, but he's done it, and without any grumbling. He was really good about running for me after I had my babies too. I'm sure he wasn't the happiest camper around, but he did it. Now one of my friends, she could be half dead and her husband wouldn't help her that way. She could be miserable and damn near crawling into the store and he wouldn't help her. From a guys perspective is it embarrassing or what is it that some guys are so uncomfortable with? I don't really understand. Humans are humans and this has been going on since the dawn of man.

    Hi,

I have bought my wife sanitary products in the past.....however she complained and told me they don't really count as a proper christmas present!!!

No seriously...if she needs them and I'm out passing a shop then I have no problem picking them up, and never have.
