Default What Stephen King books sould be made into comics?

Anyone think any other King works should be made into comics? If so, which?

I would love to see THE ROAD VIRUS HEADS NORTH made into a comic story. That would be nice.

Maybe something like cell, it would suit that sort of horror comic market.

Although I'm not sure they would come out good, I would like to see Marvel do all of the Dark Tower novels.

It. There would be plenty to keep an artist busy with that story.

I enjoyed reading The Stand comic series even though I've read the book twice. But still...why do they need to be made into movies or comics? They stand alone as the great books that they are.

    Hi,

Well, maybe si, maybe no IMO.

Yes, they stand alone as great books, but they're seem to be a growing number of people who don't/won't/can't read books and I think the comics, like the movies, introduce Sai King's work to a much larger audience.

And I think the artists have brought a new interpretation, a new dimension, to storytelling and in fact I prefer what Marvel have done with The Gunslinger and The Stand to most film adaptations.

I thought his remark last year about considering the movie adaptations as 'dead skin sculptures' was priceless!

Of course, we all know what they're missing by not reading the books, but you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it think!

    Long days and pleasant nights

That story has already been graphically illustrated in Secretary of Dreams.

When I was around 8 or 9, I read the blurbs on the back of SK's books. They stirred my curiousity, yet I didn't have the maturity to grasp the adult language. It was through watching the movies that I developed an appreciation for his work. I read my first King book at 10 years old...The Shining. The part about room 217 scared the crap out of me. I was in my room, reading alone. I threw the book down and screamed.
